Eunie Jung, Ph.D, Clinical Supervisor (she/her
Experience: Eunie Jung, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Counseling and School Psychology program at Benerd College at the University of the Pacific. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA with a focus on treatment outcomes for child and adolescent depression and anxiety. After receiving her doctorate, she completed an APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, where she specialized in PTSD and trauma disorders. Upon completing her post-doctoral training, Dr. Jung worked in the Veterans Affairs Health Care System for several years utilizing evidence-based psychotherapies with a specialization in the treatment of PTSD and other trauma disorders. She also worked in Integrated Care, the Epilepsy Center of Excellence, and has expertise in in the area of functional neurological disorders, particularly psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES). Dr. Jung has also focused much of her career on teaching, training, and researching how to incorporate multicultural and diversity issues into practice. Dr. Jung has an active program of research focused on Asian American mental health, mental health and technology, psychotherapy research, and supervision and training.
Supervision Specialties: PTSD and anxiety disorders, evidence-based practice, psychodynamic supervision, combined models and competency-based models of supervision, multicultural and social justice-oriented practice approaches.
Clinical Approaches: Psychoanalytic therapy, ACT, Trauma-focused therapies (PE and CPT), CBT (including CBT for PNES), Motivational Interviewing.
Supervisory Approach: Developmental, process-oriented, competency-based, social justice-oriented.
