IS EVY THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR YOU?
You are worthy of support as you are. As a therapist, my priority is holding space for you and your experiences. You can expect to be met with empathy and compassion for where you are in your life, while we move toward your goals together. I acknowledge you as a whole and complete person, unique in your identity and experiences.
My background includes working with college students at Cal Poly Humboldt Counseling & Psychological Services, over two years in health education, and more than a decade teaching yoga and mindfulness. As a former athlete/ dancer, I also understand how deeply identity can be tied to performance—and how disorienting it can feel when that identity shifts or is lost. As someone who identifies as multiracial, I also understand the layered experience of feeling between cultures and the strengths and challenges that it can bring.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), mindfulness, somatic therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma- and grief-informed care. I integrate body-based awareness and values clarification to help clients regulate their nervous systems and move toward their goals. I assist in building practical skills (including ADHD management strategies) and reconnecting with what truly matters to them.
I view therapy as a space where you can explore without judgment, build insight, and develop tools to move toward your goals with greater confidence and self-compassion. Whether you’re working through anxiety, relationship stress, social concerns, self-esteem, trauma, grief, or simply feeling stuck, I aim to support you in strengthening your sense of self and creating a life aligned with your values.
