A Message from Nesreen:
As a social justice advocate I believe all people, adults and children alike reach their maximized potential when provided with a safe, therapeutic environment. My approach to counseling is guided by CBT/DBT counseling as well as incorporations of mindfulness/art therapy. I focus on providing a therapeutic environment for clients to share concerns and facilitate growth. Most importantly I seek to develop a strong therapeutic relationship by providing genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. Overall, my goal is helping clients become aware of their ability to grow and heal.
Through my experience with adults I have gained skills in assessing, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans/goals by using a strengths approach that focuses on client’s strengths to promote growth and change.
In addition, I have provided child care services to children of all ages using learned techniques to help aid in their development. As an experienced ABA therapist I worked with children with Autism to enhance motor skills and speech. In conclusion, I enjoy working with children and adolescents with a variety of issues.
