I have worked for over 15 years in clinical and leadership roles in non-profit organizations specializing in helping people survive traumatic life events. I teach on-line classes for the USC School of Social Work Virtual Academic Campus. I firmly believe we are amazing human beings who are adaptive. We have to love ourselves in the low moments, but not get stuck there. I want to walk along side of you as joy comes back into your life. You will still be you, but wiser, more in tune with the universe and those around you.
Have you experienced a major life changing event? Do you feel lost, alone, sad, angry? These are all normal reactions to change. First, we will look at how you are processing and coping with this emotional pain. Secondly, we will explore how your thoughts about the life transition are affecting your emotional state. Thirdly, we connect how this is manifesting in your body. By the end of counseling, you will have a self-care plan, healthy coping skills, and a manageable grasp on how to navigate the life transition.
