A Message From Stephen:

Everyone needs a safe space to reflect, release, reset, and rest. Are you having trouble understanding your mood, thoughts or emotions? Do you lie in bed late at night with thoughts that will not shut off? Do you ever wonder why you keep repeating the same life patterns? Are your emotions or thoughts hindering your relationships or professional life? Do you feel your life is not balanced due to the constant pressure to over-perform? Do you find yourself neglecting your relationships with your spouse, children or close loved ones? Do you feel othered at work or in other groups as a black man? Or, maybe you are simply tired of struggling with past or present racial trauma and seek a black male therapist to affirm your experiences and support you. We all need someone we can trust to walk us through the process of understanding and exploring ways to grow to be our best authentic selves.

I have an extremely diverse background with over 20 years of experience offering strategies to help identify ways to support you in becoming a healthier authentic self. I offer a calm, laid-back, non-judgemental, solution-focused, and culturally relevant approach to finding ways to better yourself. I specialize in working with men and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.

On a personal level, my lived experience as a black man has informed the way I interact with my clients as a therapist. As someone involved in our Sacramento community, I know some of the unique pressures and traumas black men in our local area collectively feel. Although every person of color’s own experience is different, I hope to connect with you and provide the understanding and insight that only a black male therapist can.

I believe we all need a safe space to feel heard, understood, affirmed, motivated, empowered, and inspired so we can go back to work and home in tune with our most authentic selves. Call me today for a free 15-minute consultation.
