As a therapist, I am less interested in reducing symptoms and more interested in exploring the root causes of suffering with my clients. How are you sleeping and resting? How are you feeling in your body? How is your nervous system? What are your significant relationships like? Do you feel that you have purpose? Do you feel at peace? My goal in working with clients is to collaborate with them to identify the values, principles, and beliefs that will support them through the ups and downs of life, that they may find deep peace in their own sacred presence. Together we contemplate the meaning of our existence, spiritual beliefs or non-beliefs, and critically examine the effects of trauma, stress, and suffering on our bodies, our mind, and our spirit.

I do not believe in using therapy as a tool to assimilate disenfranchised people into abusive or harmful systems. In order to heal we must acknowledge systems, for there are many ideologies and institutions that are currently actively harming BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and other underrepresented and marginalized folks (intersectionally, of course).

I am a black, biracial, queer woman. I have a traditional education, but I believe in wisdom through lived experience. I have my own unique lived experience, and I try to be radically genuine with my clients. However, I will always center you. I am here to hold space, share insight, and collaborate. While life can be full of pain, I strongly believe that I can support you to break free of old patterns and chains that create suffering in your life.
